HAIR TRANSPLANTS

Hair loss is a common disorder seen primarily in men, but can also occur in women. The medical term for hair loss is alopecia.
Hair transplants are a very popular treatment for alopecia. It is important to understand that hair transplant surgery depends on the quality of your existing hair follicles and their efficient use. Patients must have healthy hair growth at the back and sided to serve as donor areas. Donor areas supply the hair grafts that will later be implanted to the balding regions of your scalp.
Hair transplant candidates must keep in mind that there is a limit to a hair transplant. A patient with very little hair may be advised not to undergo hair transplant surgery.

The hair transplants are performed as a day surgery in our fully equipped surgery center under intravenous sedation. A small strip of hair and scalp from the back of the head is removed. Transplant technicians then proceed with making micro grafts (1-2 hairs) or mini grafts (2-4 hairs) from this strip. The grafts are then individually transplanted in the recipient site holes.
A hair transplant restores confidence in patients who have become self-conscious about thinning hair. It is important to understand that no matter how many sessions are performed, hair transplant patients will not have the same volume of hair with the transplant; you will achieve a natural looking coverage.

After surgery there is no bulky draining. The sutures in the back scalp are removed in 10 days. Patients are advised to take 5-7 days off work. The hair growth is noted after 4-8 months after hair transplant surgery.

ABDOMINOPLASTY (TUMMY TUCK)

An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a procedure designed to flatten a protruding abdomen through the tightening of the abdominal wall muscles and the removal of excess fatty tissue and skin. Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is not a substitute for weight loss. The objective of the surgery is to improve your body contour.

Who Is A Good Candidate?
The best candidate for abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is someone who is close to their normal weight, but has excess loose overhanging skin and fatty collections in the abdominal area.

The Surgery
Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is performed as a day surgery in our fully equipped surgery center under intravenous sedation. The abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) starts with making an incision below one hipbone, across the pubic area to the other hipbone. The skin and fat are separated from the abdominal wall exposing loose tissue covering the abdominal muscle. The muscle layer is tightened if needed. The skin is lowered over the abdomen and excess skin and fat is removed. The navel is repositioned, and drains are inserted to eliminate fluid build-up. The drains are removed after five days. The patient will be off work for 2 weeks. The final results of an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) will be apparent at 3 months.

The results
Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) has been performed successfully for years. Patients are happy with their new body contour and the result is an improved body image and new self-confidence.
