Dermalive and Dermadeep (Semi-permanent Injectable)

Dermadeep/Dermalive is recommended for the long-term filling of deep facial wrinkles, nasolabial folds, lips and facial contours (chin, cheeks). The ingredients of Dermalive and Dermadeep are of a non-animal origin, which considerably reduce the risks of allergy; therefore, they can be used immediately without the necessity of a skin test. Moreover they do not contain any preservatives or anesthetics. Dermalive and Dermadeep are made of acrylic hydrogel and hyaluronic acid. Both ingredients have been clinically proven and are widely used for manufacturing implants in several medical applications and have been for numerous years. Manufactured under rigorous control, Dermlive and Dermadeep satisfy all safety, reliability and efficiency requirements in accordance with European and international standards and are EEC approved.

After each injection of Dermalive or Dermadeep, around 40% of the implant is retained permanently in the dermis. The hyaluronic acid disappears within a few weeks, which gives the acrylic hydrogel particles time to be evenly placed throughout the dermis. During the 3 months following the injection, these particles are surrounded by new collagen fibres produced by your own body thanks to a natural process, which complete the filling of the treated area. Given that the increase of tissue volume and the degradation of hyaluronic acid vary according to the individual patient, the treated areas may require one to two further sessions to obtain the optimal results. In any case, it is necessary to wait at least three months between two injections sessions. Despite their permanent nature, Dermalive and Dermadeep cannot stop the skin ageing process. Therefore one or more additional sessions may be needed after a few years. These treatments may be performed in about 30 minutes (e.g. during lunch break). You can return to work and normal activities immediately afterwards.

Side effects

A little redness, swelling and pain, may develop after the injection, usually disappearing over time (up to 1-2 days). Occasionally, a localized inflammatory reaction or granulome may occur several months after the injection, which can happen with any implant. Although the latter is uncommon, you need to be informed about such possibilities. After care You may apply cold compresses to the treated area and use Tylenol as required for pain. You should avoid using make-up during the 12 hours following the injection. You must also avoid saunas, Turkish baths, UV radiations and intense cold for two weeks. If you go in the sun, you should apply a sun block on the injected area for 10 days
